Labor Day Car Show 2026
The Southport Lions 2026 Car Show was held on Saturday, September 5, 2026 at Waterfront Park and throughout our beautiful downtown area. We would like to thank Mayor Pat Hatem, Police Chief Todd Coring, Fire Chief Charles Drew, Battalion Chief Ralph Treadway and the entire Southport Fire and Police Departments, City of Southport Public Works and, of course, the citizens of Southport for coming out and helping us celebrate and support our First Responders!
We want to express special gratitude to all our dedicated sponsors in helping raise funds for the Southport Rescue Squad Auxiliary Ballistic Vest Program. Additionally, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to The State Port Pilot for their continuous support.
It was a wonderful day of family fun, laughter, delicious food, terrific music, and classic vehicles. Congratulations to all the show winners! As in the past 81 years, we look forward to continuing to “SERVE” our community.

Welcome to Southport Lions Club
North Carolina, USA
Lions Clubs International (LCI) was formed in 1917 by a Chicago business leader, Melvin Jones with the idea of business professionals pooling their energy, talent, and resources toward the service of others. Today, LCI is the world’s largest service club with close to 1.4 million members. The Lions motto, “We Serve,” reflects our commitment of service to our world, country, state, and community. Lions Club International is committed to supporting the visually impaired and supporting sight conservation. Lions Clubs strive to improve the lives of the needy and offer the chance to catch the spirit of service.
Southport Lions Club was established in 1945 by a group of concerned and dedicated citizens who wished to follow the ideas and principles of Lions Club International. Today it has over 50 members (women and men) and continues to grow and serve the city of Southport, North Carolina (and neighboring areas) in a wide variety of ways. We raise funds to provide support to numerous charities, host annual fundraising events, and assist individuals in need. We also stress support for educational opportunities and assistance for area students who are planning for college.
